REPUTATION AND CHARACTER

Sow a thought, reap an act,

Sow an act, reap a habit,

Sow a habit, reap a character,

Sow a character, reap a destiny.

• Reputation is what man thinks of you.
• Character is what God knows you to be.
• The WISE build character, being concerned with God’s view of them.
• The OTHERWISE struggle for reputation and the praise of men.

Jesus, the only flawless character ever to walk this earth:

 Made Himself of no reputation.

Philippians 2:7

• Reputation is fleeting at best.
• Character is for ever and he who aims for that, will have:

 Wisdom which is from above.

James 3:17

• Keep yourself pure. That will defeat the lust of the flesh. 1Timothy 5:22
• Keep yourself unspotted from the world. That will defeat the lust of the eyes. James 1:27
• Keep yourself from idols. That will defeat the pride of life. 1John 5:21
• Keep yourself in the love of God. That is total victory. Jude 21

Remember:

 God will not do for us, what He has told us we must do for Him.
