THE KING

When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the Holy Angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory.

Matthew 25:31

Jesus went around teaching and preaching The Gospel of The Kingdom. The establishing of The Kingdom depended on the Israelites’ acceptance of Their King. There can be no kingdom without a king. When Pilate asked the Jewish Leaders, Shall I crucify your King? They replied, We have no king but Caesar. By saying that they closed the door to the kingdom appearing in their day; and to the blessing, joy and peace, that would have been theirs.

In our verse under consideration, the Lord Jesus tells of the return of the King, whom the nation had rejected, and further on Matthew tells us:

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocking Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Matthew 27:29

This verse tells us of the crown of thorns men gave THE KING OF KINGS, which in reality, was the only crown that men could rightly claim, because it was the product of the curse that man, by sin, had brought upon the earth.

It was a gift of the darkened mind to the ONE who loved them!

What place have you given THE KING who was despised and rejected of men?

On the answer you give hangs your eternal destiny.

To reject Him is an ATTITUDE; you simply do nothing, which then spells Damnation.

To receive Him as your King is an ACT; you invite Him into your life, and that spells Salvation.

What will you do with the KING?
