When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from goats: And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, “Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Then shall He also say unto them on the left hand, “Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels.” KJV |
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right, “Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” Then He will say to those on His left, “Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” NIV |
There are many who do not want to hear of the coming judgment, believing that once a person dies it is over and that there is no life after death, but the Scriptures are very clear that there is coming a time when The Son of Man will separate everyone. Those who have put their trust in Him and have accepted Him for who He is, will enjoy His company forever, and for those who decided during their lifetime that they could get along without Him, will find that their wish has been granted. They will be separated from Him and His blessings forever.
We must never forget that the same Jesus who taught Eternal Life also taught Eternal Punishment. There is coming a time when the luxury of having occasion to decide will end, and that whatever you decided in time, will be what you are stuck with for eternity.
I urge you to decide for Christ now, whilst there is still time to do so.
