HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ALONE WITH GOD?

And when He was alone, the twelve….. asked of Him…

Mark 4:10

When God gets us alone whether it be by heartache, temptation, sickness, disappointment or broken friendships we sometimes feel dumbfounded and utterly confused.

If we incline our ear to what God is trying to teach us, during these hardships, we need to learn the art of listening. It is then, and only then, that we will hear what He has to say.

An example for us is to watch as Jesus trains His disciples.

The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you

John 14:26

It was the disciples, not the crowd who were puzzled. They constantly asked Him questions and He patiently explained and expounded things to them.

There is much stubbornness and ignorance in all of us and this is revealed, whether we like it or not, by the Holy Spirit, and these traits can only be adequately dealt with when we are alone with our Saviour.

Are there things of life, petty things, that keep us from being alone with Him?

Determine to make time to be alone with Jesus, for unless we read and study and meditate on the Word of God, we will never grow spiritually, and we will forever wander in a desert and a spiritual wilderness.

There is much to learn!

Don’t let the locust eat the years you have.

Get alone with the One who loves you more than anyone ever could.
