THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE GIVING

Man’s giving is tainted with self-advantage.
- What will I get out of it?
- What’s in it for me?
- Man gives largely when he is pressurised to do so.
- He gives to his friends and rarely to those in need.
- Man gives out of his abundance.
God’s giving is altogether different.
- God gives out of love.
- God gives to those who don’t realise their need or appreciate the Gift.
- God gives to His enemies.
- God gives His all.
- God spared not His own Son.
- God gave up His only Son to the world and for the world.
- His Son, who came from Heaven, to a smelly cattle-shed, was unwelcome and unwanted.
- The woman who held Him in her arms as a Babe, is held by the arms that holds the whole world.
- The Prince of Life gave His life and bowed His head in death.
- The One without sin, became sin for us.
- Man gave Him a Cross.
- Jesus made that Cross into a ladder for man to get to Heaven.
The giving has been done. It is complete. There is nothing to add to or subtract from. The gift of Salvation is free, all we need to do is accept it and surrender our lives to Christ. We need to live for Him and Him alone. There is no other worthy of our love, praise and honour.
