And when He was at the place, (Gethsemane) He said unto them, “Pray that ye enter not into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast and kneeled and prayed, Saying, “Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine be done.” KJV |

When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha). But they shouted, “Take Him away! Take Him away! Crucify Him!” Finally Pilate handed Him over to them to be crucified. NIV |

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: For it is written, “Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” KJV |
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” NIV |
