WHICH WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE?

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Ezekiel 36:26-27

How can anyone refuse a deal like that?

With Christmas just around the corner, most shops are bursting at the seams with goods to sell and deals to make. Sadly though, some shops will be closing their doors for good after the Festive Season comes to an end because of financial woes and poor sales, bringing with it worry and misery to those who will find themselves unemployed in the New Year.

Our verse today reminds us that even though times may be tough we can rely totally on His promises, provided we meet His terms and conditions.

God tells us not to lay up treasures for ourselves here on earth, but rather to lay them up in Heaven revealing to us that it is the condition of our heart that is important to God and not what treasures we have.

If we give Him our hearts and lives, He will give us a new heart, and a new spirit. He will remove the stony, unfeeling heart we once had, which paid no heed to His wondrous message and replace it with a heart that now is filled with rejoicing, and what’s more, He will give us His Spirit which will help us walk in Him and with Him and stay with Him.

How can anyone refuse a deal like that?
