And Nadab and Abihu the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer (a small container for burning incense) and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He commanded them not. Our verses of Scripture today speak a lot about faith misplaced and we would do well to read and learn of the consequences so that we do not make the same mistakes in our walk with the Saviour:
- You can PREACH without Faith: The false Prophets said to Ahab: Go up to Ramoth-gilead and prosper. But there was NO PROSPERITY.
- You can PRAY without Faith: The Pharisees prayed “I thank Thee that I am not as other men are… I fast, I give tithes…” He is full of I’s but cannot see! A real yes man, full of I,I’s sir! If he had only shut his mouth and opened his ears, he might have heard what God had to say.
- You can PERFORM without Faith: The foolish Priests, Nadab and Abihu did, offering strange, unholy fire, before the Lord and were destroyed by fire from the Lord.

Hebrews 11:6 |
|||
|
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. KJV |
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. NIV |
