THAT LIGHT

Simeon said, “Lord now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word: For mine eyes have seen Thy Salvation. Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel.” KJV |
[Simeon said:] “Sovereign Lord, as You have promised, You may now dismiss Your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” NIV |
Simeon discovered in the Saviour as a tiny baby of 8 days old, that He was the Light to lighten the Gentiles and that He was the Glory of God’s people Israel. Yes, Jesus was the Light, and he had seen Him and held Him in his arms.

JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WHOLE WORLD

Now we know why it was such a great discovery for Simeon, and it can be a great discovery for you. Jesus came into this world of darkness to bring LIGHT to those who believe and put their trust in Him.
O HOW WE NEED THE SAVIOUR

The last book of the Old Testament tells us of Jesus and the healing He would bring to all those who fear His name and to all those who will trust in Him.
