WHAT WILL YOU REST ON?

Isaiah 55:6

Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. KJV

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. NIV

This verse should be very worrying to those who do not know the Lord as Saviour or are thinking of turning to Him later on in life: When the time is right as so many utter.
It is worrying because looking for Him whilst He may be found, implies that there is coming a time when He will not be found, and likewise by calling upon Him while He is near means that there is coming a time when He will not be near, which then begs the question: Just when do we do these things?

The Bible is clear that now is the time for Salvation. Now is the time to decide for Christ. Not tomorrow or next week. It must be done NOW!
It is emphatic that it must be now, because no-one knows what the next hour will bring. Like the husband who kissed his wife and children goodbye one morning and left for work to catch the bus, as he had done many times before, and was knocked down and fatally injured by a speeding motorist.
Nobody would have predicted this tragedy taking place. But it happened, and it left behind a heart-broken wife and two children, and a stark reminder that life is so short and so precious.

Upon a life I did not live.
Upon a death I did not die.
Another’s life, another’s death,
I rest my whole eternity.
Upon a life I could not live.
Upon a death I could not die.
My Saviour’s Life, my Saviour’s Death,
I’ll rest on them for all eternity.

I pray that you will decide for Christ now and that your rest will be with Him for all eternity. Call on Him NOW!
