LESSONS FOR LIVING

Written by Pete Hannah of Cape Town, South Africa. There is no shortage of story books for children. Sadly, not many are Scripturally based, focusing rather on farm animals, dogs, cats and rabbits, highlighting the antics, frolics and activities of these species. A disturbing trend is the very unhealthy pre-occupation with Magic, Ghosts, Vampires and Yoga for children, topping the list of the must-read collection!
As lessons for children growing up, most, if not all, fall way short of what encourages love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
The overabundance of mostly inappropriate and unsuitable reading material made available for young developing intellects, should make any parent anxious as to what is filling the hearts and minds of their children.
As all parents know, children are like ‘blotting paper’ and will copy and imitate almost anything and everything they see and hear, and it is for this reason that I can highly recommend this Collection of Short Stories which is specifically aimed at teaching Biblical truths and Scripturally based behaviour patterns so lacking in our modern world.
Children are precious and need to be taught what our Creator wants for their lives. After all is said and done, they will take with them into adulthood all the lessons learned in their youth.
